National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji chaired today a meeting of the heads of the subcommittees to combat violent extremism, to exchange visions and ideas capable of reducing the phenomena alien to Iraqi society that threaten peace and social fabric. The meeting discussed, according to a statement by the Chancellery, the measures capable of limiting the activity of deviant religious movements active in some governorates and the legal procedures to confront the spread of these movements, in addition to emphasizing the importance of continuous awareness of their danger.
