Doha: The Department of Meteorology has warned of strong winds and high seas from noon offshore and expected strong wind daytime inshore on Wednesday. In its daily weather report, the Department said inshore conditions until 6:00 pm will be hot daytime with slight dust to blowing dust, moderate temperature during the night. Offshore areas are expected to be fine.
According to Qatar News Agency, winds inshore will be Southwesterly less than 10 KT at first, becoming Northwesterly 12-22 KT gusting to 30 KT during the daytime. Offshore, winds will be Southwesterly 7-17 KT, becoming Northwesterly 12-22 KT, gusting to 32 KT from noon.
Sea conditions inshore will range from 1-3 FT, rising to 5 FT at times, while offshore seas are expected to be 2-4 FT, rising to 4-7 FT from noon. Visibility inshore will be 4-9 KM or less at places during the daytime. Offshore visibility will range from 5-9 KM.
