Department of Meteorology Warns of Strong Wind

Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Thursday will be hazy at places at first, becoming moderate in temperature daytime and partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain, and relatively cold by night, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected strong wind at places at times. Offshore, it will partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain, the report added, warning of expected strong wind and high sea.

According to Qatar News Agency, wind inshore will be mainly northeasterly to northwesterly at a speed of 10 – 20 KT, gusting to 25 KT at places at times. Offshore, it will be northeasterly to northwesterly at a speed of 08 – 18 KT, gusting to 25 KT at times. Sea state inshore will be 2 – 4 ft, rising to 5 ft at times. Offshore, it will be 2 – 5 ft, rising to 8 ft at times. Visibility inshore will be 4 – 9 km and offshore will be 5 – 9 km.

The report detailed tidal information for various regions. In Doha, the high tide is expected at 05:29 and 16:24, with low tide at 13:04. Mesaieed will see high tide at 07:08 and 18:33, with low tide at 14:22. Wakrah anticipates high tide at 06:15 and 17:27, with low tide at 13:35 and 23:29. Al Khor’s high tide will occur at 15:54 and 05:42, with low tide at 00:01. Ruwais expects high tide at 05:42 and 18:28, with low tide at 00:01 and 12:35. Dukhan will have high tide at 10:35 and 23:13, with low tide at 04:31 and 16:56. Abu Samra’s high tide will be at 07:40 and 13:12, with low tide at 05:45 and 11:45. Sunrise is at 06:09 LT and sunset at 17:26 LT.
