Department of Meteorology Warns of Thundery Rain, Strong Wind and High Sea Tonight

Doha: Weather inshore tonight until 6:00 am on Friday will be relatively cold and partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report. Offshore, it will see partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain, thundery at times, the Department of Meteorology added, warning of strong wind, high sea and thundery rain.

According to Qatar News Agency, the wind inshore will be southeasterly to northeasterly at a speed of 05 to 15 knots, gusting to 25 knots at places at times. Offshore, winds will also be southeasterly to northeasterly, ranging from 12 to 22 knots, and gusting up to 30 knots at times.

Visibility is expected to range from 05 to 09 kilometers. The sea state inshore will vary between 2 to 4 feet, surging to 5 feet at times. Offshore conditions are forecasted to be 4 to 7 feet, surging up to 9 feet at times.

The report also details tide timings for various locations, including Doha, Messaid, Wakrah, Al Khor, Ruwais, and Dukhan, with expected high tides and low tides occurring throughout the night and into the morning. The sunrise is predicted at 05:50 LT and sunset at 17:39 LT.
