Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Meets GCC Secretary General

Doha: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani met on Tuesday with HE Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi and his accompanying delegation, during their visit to the State of Qatar.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on the latest security developments in the region and explored aspects of military cooperation and joint coordination in light of current circumstances. The discussions underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing regional security challenges.

The visit of the GCC Secretary General to the State of Qatar was prompted by an invitation from the Joaan Bin Jassim Academy for Defense Studies. He was invited to deliver a lecture on 'Political and international transformations and their impact on the Arabian Gulf' to participants in the 6th national defense course.

After the lecture, a discussion took place, covering the main themes and issues addressed by His Excellency, providing an opportunity for in-depth dialogue on the subject matter with the participants.
