EAA and General Directorate of Endowments Celebrate Achievements of Qatar Scholarship Program Students

Doha: Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Endowments, celebrated the achievements of students benefiting from the Qatar Scholarships Program. The event honored graduates, recognized academically outstanding students, and welcomed the eighth cohort of beneficiaries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development Fahad bin Hamad Al Sulaiti, and Director General of the General Directorate of Endowments Eng. Hassan bin Abdullah Al Marzouqi. Several ambassadors, university presidents, and directors of partner institutions were also present, including HE Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Qatar Faiz Majed Abu Al Rub, HE Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Qatar Rajeh Hussein Farhan Badi, and HE Ambassador of the Republic of India to Qatar Vipul.

During the event, approximately 45 graduates of the program were honored, and around 55 academically outstanding students were recognized. The ceremony also marked the welcoming of a new cohort of beneficiaries. The evening highlighted the program's impact on supporting resident students by providing fair access to higher education and enabling them to continue their academic and professional journeys.

The event celebrated a milestone in the program's journey as it achieved its strategic target of 500 scholarships. This accomplishment underscores the commitment of Education Above All Foundation and its partners to support inclusive and sustainable education while empowering young people through equitable access to higher education. These efforts are supported by the General Directorate of Endowments.

The event program included official remarks from supporting and partner entities, as well as a video presentation that showcased the program's journey and achievements. Partner educational institutions were recognized for their pivotal role in supporting student beneficiaries and enhancing the quality of educational opportunities available to them.

Chief Executive Officer of EAA, Mohammed Saad Al Kubaisi, stated, "The Qatar Scholarships Program in Qatar Event is an occasion to celebrate the achievements of our students and renew our commitment to empowering young people through quality education. The achievement of 500 scholarships reflects the strength of the partnership with the General Directorate of Endowments and the support of partner universities." He emphasized that investment in education is an investment in people, society, and the future, with each student representing a new story of hope and a step towards inclusive and sustainable development.

Director General of the General Directorate of Endowments, Eng. Hassan bin Abdullah Al Marzouqi, remarked, "Education is the cornerstone of societal progress and the most important pathway to empower youth and open new horizons for them." He highlighted the program as an example of the impact of waqf in supporting education, emphasizing the achievement of 500 scholarships in collaboration with Education Above All Foundation and partner universities as a reflection of the Endowment's principle, 'Waqf is a community partnership.'

The Qatar Scholarship Program, affiliated with EAA Foundation, is a leading educational initiative supporting non-Qatari resident students from marginalized families by providing annual scholarships in partnership with higher education institutions in Qatar. This initiative contributes to their academic and professional empowerment and strengthens their future contributions to their communities.
