Egyptian Foreign Minister Engages in Talks on Regional Issues with Pakistani and Lebanese Leaders

Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty engaged in discussions on regional developments through two separate phone calls with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversations focused on the importance of sustaining diplomatic efforts to manage the current escalation in the region. The discussions emphasized the necessity of resuming negotiations between the United States and Iran as a means to reduce tensions and bring an end to the ongoing conflict.

Furthermore, the calls addressed the ongoing preparations for Cairo to host the fourth meeting of the Quartet Mechanism, which includes Egypt, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. The talks also covered the latest developments concerning the Israeli military escalation in Lebanon.
