The information systems department of the ministry of endowments (awqaf) and islamic affairs has made a new achievement by obtaining the international certification in the quality management system (iso 9001:2015).
According to Qatar News Agency, this accomplishment is added to the Ministry's institutional and digital record and underscores its commitment to enforcing high standards of institutional governance. This milestone extends a series of successes Awqaf has recently achieved by gaining the ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security and the ISO/IEC 20000 certification for IT service management, thereby strengthening its standing as a government model in pursuing global practices in managing digital systems.
This global accreditation embodies the Ministry's commitment to deepening the culture of institutional excellence through enforcing global practices in quality management and ensuring efficient digital services are provided to society and administrative units. In a statement on Tuesday, Awqaf highlighted that this breakthrough confirms the readiness of its infrastructure to keep up with the requirements of digital transformation toward an operational model that depends on innovation, competency, and sustainability.
Winning the ISO 9001:2015 certification is an outgrowth of a methodical approach spearheaded by national manpower and professional technical teams in the department. The statement outlined that those entities had subjected all operations to verification procedures based on international standards. It further highlighted that this accomplishment is part of Awqaf's strategic orientations for 2025-2030, which prioritize institutional and digital transformation.
The combination of the three ISO certifications in quality management, information security, and IT service management helps enhance the flexibility of its technological system and elevate efficiency in digital project management. It further noted that this combination will accelerate leveraging technologies, such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence solutions.
