Gaza city: Four people were injured on Monday evening in Israeli attacks targeting the central Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical sources said.
According to Qatar News Agency, the sources reported that Israeli forces struck several homes in the Nuseirat refugee camp, wounding four people and causing widespread destruction in the surrounding area.
Israeli artillery also shelled the eastern part of the Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City, as well as an area near the Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern part of the strip.
Separately, an Israeli drone strike targeted a Palestinian police force near Well 19 in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, though no casualties were reported.
The casualties come as the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,797, with 172,821 others injured, since Oct. 7, 2023. Israeli forces have continued to violate a ceasefire agreement by conducting further artillery shelling, airstrikes and heavy gunfire across several areas in the Gaza Strip.
