Georgetown: Gold prices fell in Asian trading Thursday: Spot gold was down 0.6% at $4,034.42 per ounce. US gold futures for August delivery lost 0.3% to $4,039.90.

According to Qatar News Agency, other precious metals also experienced a decline. Spot silver fell 1.1% to $57.14 per ounce. Platinum eased 0.6% to $1,664.75, and palladium edged 0.3% lower to $1,309.86.
