Gold Prices Reach One Week High at USD 4,344.77 per Ounce

Beirut: Gold prices advanced for the third consecutive session on Monday, hitting a one-week high, following an agreement between Iran and the United States to end their trade disputes, a development that eased market expectations of an interest rate hike. Spot gold rose to USD 4,344.77 per ounce, its highest level since June 9.

According to Qatar News Agency, US gold futures gained 3 percent to reach USD 4,366.80 per ounce. Other precious metals also saw significant increases, with spot silver jumping 4.6 percent to USD 70.07 per ounce. Platinum climbed 4.6 percent to USD 1,796.45 per ounce, and palladium gained 5.1 percent to settle at USD 1,348.30 per ounce.
