HH the Amir Joins Citizens for Eid Al-Adha Prayers at Lusail

Lusail: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani performed Eid Al-Adha prayers alongside citizens at Lusail prayer ground on Wednesday morning. The gathering was a significant event attended by key figures such as HH Personal Representative of the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani.

According to Qatar News Agency, the assembly also included HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, as well as ministers, Shura Council members, ambassadors, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State of Qatar. The event highlighted the importance of unity and community in the celebration of Eid Al-Adha.

During the Eid sermon, Sheikh Dr Yahya Bati Al Nuaimi emphasized the significance of Islamic rituals, noting that they reflect piety and obedience to God. He described Eid Al-Adha as an important spiritual occasion that inspires devotion, gratitude, and worship, while fostering family bonds and reviving religious traditions through celebration and communal prayer.

Dr Al Nuaimi also underscored the role of Udhiya, or sacrificial offering, as a central practice of Eid Al-Adha. He called on Muslims to observe this ritual in line with Islamic teachings. Eid Al-Adha, known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," is a major event in the Islamic calendar celebrated with communal prayers, charitable acts, and family gatherings across the Muslim world.
