Doha:iHeartArabi has announced its special coverage of the FIP Padel World Cup Qatar 2026, currently being held in Doha from November 2 to 7 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. iHeartArabi, part of the global media group iHeartMedia, is providing daily coverage through interviews, discussions, and reports directly from the event venue.
According to Qatar News Agency, the coverage is centered around "Padel Arabi," a daily podcast hosted by journalist Fheed Al Shammari and recorded live at the tournament. This podcast features international padel players, Qatari champions, federation officials, and prominent figures from the sports and media sectors.
New episodes of the podcast are released each day of the competition, focusing on the tournament's key moments, players' experiences, and the sport's growing presence in Qatar and the region. The podcast includes conversations with athletes, officials, and other guests, offering insights into the people and developments shaping the padel landscape.
The initiative is part of iHeartArabi's broader effort to expand Arabic-language podcasting by connecting local voices and stories with iHeartMedia's production expertise. The programming covers a range of topics, including sports, culture, entertainment, and human-interest stories, emphasizing original content and conversations with influential figures.
This project builds on a partnership announced last year between iHeartMedia and the Government Communications Office, aimed at supporting the development of the podcast industry in the Middle East and North Africa. The agreement seeks to strengthen audio-production infrastructure and create opportunities for regional talent.
Dina Al Hajjar, programs director at iHeartArabi, noted that the Padel World Cup in Doha provides an exceptional opportunity to create an interactive media experience that brings Arab audiences closer to the action. Redab Massoud, media and communications manager at the Qatar Padel Federation, highlighted Qatar's role in hosting the competition for the third time, underscoring the country's growing position in international padel.
