Beirut: the Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani met on Monday with HE Minister of Trade, Industry and Resources of the Republic of Korea, Jung-Kwan Kim, during his visit to the State of Qatar: The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two nations in the fields of commerce, investment, and industry. Discussions also covered various matters of mutual interest that could further strengthen bilateral relations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trade volume between Qatar and the Republic of Korea is projected to reach approximately $8.44 billion by 2025. In the same year, the Republic of Korea is expected to rank fourth among Qatar's commercial partners, highlighting the significance of the relationship between the two countries.
The Qatari market currently hosts 168 Korean and Qatari-Korean companies, indicating a robust economic partnership. The meeting between the ministers reflects a commitment to further developing these ties and exploring new opportunities for collaboration in key sectors.
