Doha: The Ministry of Transport (MOT) announced on Monday that maritime navigation activities for all types of maritime vessels and ships can now resume normally within the marine range of nearly seven nautical miles.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry pointed out in its circular that this decision takes immediate effect and applies from Lusail City, including its ports, anchorages, and marine facilities, extending to Hamad Port in the east, and from the Umm Heesh area to Doha Salwa in the west.
It was further noted that vessels subject to the provisions of international maritime conventions, and those operating as per existing regulations and procedures, are exempted from this announcement.
The MOT emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to the regulations and instructions in place. It also urged all maritime operators to ensure that all necessary safety and security equipment is on board before and during any sailing activities, to guarantee the safety and security of all maritime trips.
