Oman’s Foreign Minister and Chinese Envoy Focus on Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Muscat: Oman's Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi recently engaged in discussions with Zhai Jun, the Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and reviewing recent regional and international developments.

According to Qatar News Agency, both parties expressed their commitment to dialogue and diplomatic efforts aimed at fostering peace and stability. They emphasized the need to manage tensions and conflicts through peaceful means.

The two officials also highlighted the importance of adhering to international law and the UN Charter's objectives. They discussed advancing political processes to address crises constructively and peacefully.

Additionally, the conversations emphasized the critical need to ensure the freedom and safety of maritime navigation through the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
