Pakistan Calls on US and Iran to Honor Islamabad MOU Commitments

Pakistan: Pakistan has urged the United States and Iran to live up to their obligations under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), emphasizing that the memorandum still constitutes an enduring foundation for consolidating understanding, mutual respect, and prosperity in the region and beyond. In a statement on Wednesday, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Islamabad is ready to continue its role in this regard.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry stated that Pakistan is deeply alarmed by the escalating tensions in the region, asserting that a renewed conflict serves no party. The statement urged all parties to exercise restraint and refrain from taking any steps that would undermine regional peace and stability. It stressed that diplomacy and continued engagement are the only off-ramp to achieving lasting peace in the region.
