Pakistan’s PM Announces Progress in US-Iran Mediation Efforts

Islamabad: Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated that his country is nearing the ultimate goal of its diplomatic mediation efforts between the United States and Iran, which are aimed at easing regional tensions.

According to Qatar News Agency, Sharif emphasized Pakistan's intensive diplomatic engagement with both sides over recent weeks, highlighting the tangible progress made. He noted a shared willingness among the involved parties to prioritize dialogue and avoid a broader confrontation.

Sharif also made an urgent appeal for restraint and wisdom, urging all parties to give diplomatic and peaceful efforts more time to help sustain de-escalation. He emphasized the importance of continuing along the path of peace and diplomacy, which presents promising prospects for success, rather than resorting to violence and destruction.
