Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Saturday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Asaad Al Shaibani, who is visiting the country. The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation relations and exploring ways to enhance them, alongside discussions on the latest developments in Syria and other issues of mutual concern.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the State of Qatar's support for the unity, sovereignty, and independence of Syria. He emphasized Qatar's commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of the Syrian people to live in dignity and to build a state based on institutions and the rule of law.

His Excellency also reiterated Qatar's support for efforts aimed at the reconstruction, rebuilding, and stabilization of Syria, highlighting the importance of cooperation between the two countries in achieving these goals.
