Qatar and UAE Leaders Discuss Regional Cooperation and Security

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a phone conversation with HH Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to Qatar News Agency, the call discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them. It also discussed regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts to enhance security and stability in the region, following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the State of Qatar's full support for the ongoing negotiations between the American and Iranian sides to reach sustainable solutions to outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means, in a way that enhances regional security, contributes to opening new horizons for cooperation, development and prosperity, and achieves the common interests of the peoples of the region and the world.
