Doha: The State of Qatar strongly condemned the targeting of two liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessels at the port of Damietta in the Arab Republic of Egypt, describing it as a direct threat to global energy supplies and a violation of international law. The incident is seen as undermining regional security and affecting the destinies of the people involved.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today expressing Qatar's complete rejection of attacks on vital facilities. The Ministry emphasized the importance of avoiding unnecessary escalation to restore security and stability both regionally and internationally.
The statement further expressed Qatar's full solidarity with Egypt, supporting all measures taken by Egypt to maintain its sovereignty and security.
