Ahmedabad: Qatar's national volleyball team is set to face South Korea on Friday in its concluding first-round match of the 2026 Asian Men's Volleyball Cup. The tournament is being held in Ahmedabad, India, and will continue through June 29. Qatar's last outing resulted in a narrow 3-2 defeat against Indonesia, with set scores of 25-14, 22-25, 30-32, 27-25, and 13-15.

According to Qatar News Agency, the team began its campaign with a 3-2 loss, but managed to secure a victory in the second round by defeating Thailand in straight sets, with scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-21.
