Doha:HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the National Day Celebrations, has unveiled the official slogan for Qatar National Day 2026, "You Are the Nation's Treasure." This slogan is inspired by a speech from the late Father Amir, HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, delivered during the handover of power to HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the current Amir of the State of Qatar.

According to Hukoomi, the speech highlighted the pivotal role of the Qatari people, particularly the younger generation, as the cornerstone of the nation's future. It emphasized trust in their capabilities and their achievements, positioning them as leaders and bearers of the country's aspirations.

HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani elaborated that the slogan is a reflection of Qatar's foundational national values, emphasizing belonging, giving, and progress. These values were cultivated by the forefathers who faced adversities with patience and unity, aiming for the nation's progress and the safeguarding of its resources.

The Minister further underscored the unique importance of this year's slogan, marking the first National Day since the passing of the Father Amir. This event serves as a moment to honor his contributions and vision that centered around the empowerment of Qatari citizens in the nation's development journey.

HE stressed that the slogan reiterates the belief that the people are the nation's most valuable asset, tasked with the responsibility to work diligently for its advancement. He highlighted that every citizen contributes to the nation's progress, turning their sense of belonging into practical achievements and sacrifices.
