Doha: The presence of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at the G7 summit, along with his meeting with HE President of the United States Donald Trump, was a focal point in the Wednesday editorials of Qatari newspapers. According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers underscored the significant importance of the meeting between HH the Amir and HE the US President amid current regional developments, particularly the agreement between the American and Iranian sides on a memorandum of understanding to address outstanding issues.

Al-Watan newspaper, in an article by its editor-in-chief, highlighted the key milestones in Qatari-US relations, noting Qatar's pivotal role as a security partner for the US and its active mediation in international crises. The meeting between HH the Amir and HE the US President, held on the G7 summit's sidelines in France, was seen as an effort to bolster strategic relations and support peaceful and diplomatic solutions for regional stability.

Al-Sharq newspaper pointed out that HH the Amir's participation in the G7 summit, at the invitation of HE President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, signifies Qatar's global standing and its commitment to cooperation, dialogue, and regional security. The newspaper noted that the meeting with the US President confirmed the strong partnership between Qatar and the US across various fields, including energy security and economic cooperation.
