Qatar’s Abderrahman Samba Secures Third Place at London Diamond League

Doha: Qatar's Abderrahman Samba finished third in the men's 400m hurdles at the London Diamond League on Saturday, marking the 11th meeting of the 2026 season. Samba recorded a time of 48.10 seconds, trailing behind Germany's Emil Agyekum, who secured second place with a time of 47.45 seconds, and Norway's Karsten Warholm, who claimed victory with a world-leading time of 46.61 seconds.

According to Qatar News Agency, the London meeting was Samba's second appearance in the Diamond League this season. He previously participated in the opening event in Xiamen, where he achieved his season's best time of 47.93 seconds.

Samba's strong performance in London has kept him in contention for the prestigious Diamond Trophy, with upcoming meetings scheduled in Silesia, Zurich, and Brussels in September. The Qatari athlete remains focused on maintaining his competitive edge as the season progresses.
