Doha: The Public Works Authority, known as Ashghal, has been awarded the Sustainability Excellence Awards 2026 in the sustainable urban development category. This prestigious recognition was presented by the Gulf Organization for Research and Development (GORD) at the conclusion of Project Qatar 2026, in which Ashghal participated as a strategic partner.

According to Qatar News Agency, Ashghal stated that the award acknowledges its efforts in promoting sustainability and environmental protection. This has been achieved through the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions across infrastructure and public building projects, aligning with Qatar's sustainable development goals.

Engineer Saoud Al Ansari, Director of the Buildings Projects Department, emphasized that the award is a testament to Ashghal's dedication to sustainable practices. It highlights their commitment to delivering high-quality projects that support the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
