London: The Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA) recently took part in the London International Disputes Week (LIDW) 2026, held in London, United Kingdom. This participation underlines QICCA's dedication to expanding its global footprint and promoting alternative dispute resolution practices.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Vice Chairman of QICCA, Sheikh Dr. Thani bin Ali Al-Thani, emphasized that the event was a significant opportunity for professional dialogue about the future of arbitration and dispute resolution, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030. He also pointed out Qatar's robust legislative framework, including Arbitration Law No. (2) of 2017 and Mediation Law No. (20) of 2021, and the supportive nature of the Qatari judiciary in enforcing arbitral awards, which bolsters Qatar's reputation as a reliable hub for commercial dispute resolution.
The event served as a platform for QICCA to exchange expertise with leading international arbitration institutions, legal experts, and practitioners globally. The Centre also took the opportunity to present its publications and institutional materials at the historic Middle Temple Hall.
Represented by its Legal Advisor, QICCA engaged in a panel discussion focusing on the role of arbitration institutions in improving procedural efficiency, ensuring fairness and integrity in arbitration proceedings, and incorporating advanced technologies in case management. The discussion underscored QICCA's role as a leading dispute resolution institution in Qatar and the broader Middle East.
