Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened lower on Sunday, experiencing a decrease of 7.50 points, or 0.07%, to settle at 10,503 points. This decline was primarily due to the downward pressure exerted by five key sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, market data revealed that the Real Estate sector saw a reduction of 0.07%, while Telecoms dropped by 0.22%. The Banks and Financial Services sector decreased by 0.40%, Insurance fell by 0.52%, and Transportation experienced a decline of 0.53%. In contrast, the Consumer Goods and Services sector exhibited a positive performance, rising by 0.51%, along with the Industrials sector, which increased by 0.31%.
By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QAR 48.679 million, with a total of 18.272 million shares being traded across 2,425 transactions.
