QSE Index Gains 0.23% at Start of Trading

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Tuesday, posting a gain of 23.82 points, or 0.23%, to reach 10,469 points compared to the previous session's close. The increase was supported by positive performances in several sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, market data indicated that the Transportation sector led the gains with an increase of 0.87%, followed by Industrials which rose by 0.35%. The Banks and Financial Services sector also saw an uptick of 0.23%, while Consumer Goods and Services experienced a slight rise of 0.07%.

In contrast, some sectors recorded declines. The Real Estate sector decreased by 0.27%, Telecoms fell by 0.29%, and Insurance dropped by 0.34%.

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QAR 65.973 million, with 30.525 million shares being traded across 3,772 transactions.
