QSE Index Jumps 226.33 Points at the Beginning of Trading

Qatar stock exchange: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index experienced a significant increase of 2.21% at the start of trading on Sunday. The index rose by 226.33 points, reaching a total of 10,490 points. This upturn was supported by positive performances across all sectors compared to the previous session's closing.

According to Qatar News Agency, data from QSE highlighted the growth seen in various sectors. The Telecoms sector improved by 0.56%, Insurance increased by 1.02%, Industrials saw a rise of 1.74%, and Real Estate climbed by 2.01%. Additionally, the Consumer Goods and Services sector grew by 2.22%, Banks and Financial Services advanced by 2.38%, and the Transportation sector marked the highest rise with a 3.81% increase.

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QAR 159.566 million. During this period, a total of 63.664 million shares were exchanged in 5,104 transactions, reflecting a robust trading activity at the beginning of the trading day.
