Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Wednesday, recording an increase of 11.08 points, or 0.11%, to reach 10,252 points compared to the previous session's close. This rise was supported by positive performances across six sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the market data indicated notable gains in several sectors. The Telecoms sector led the way with an increase of 0.72%, followed by Industrials with a rise of 0.43%. The Real Estate sector saw a gain of 0.14%, while Banks and Financial Services experienced an uptick of 0.09%. The Transportation sector edged up by 0.08%, and Consumer Goods and Services posted a slight gain of 0.04%. Conversely, the Insurance sector faced a downturn, declining by 0.45%.
By 10:00 am, the trading turnover stood at QAR 44.896 million, with a total of 20.796 million shares exchanged across 2,787 transactions.
