QSL Holds Financial Oversight Workshop for Clubs Ahead of New Season

Doha: The Qatar Stars League (QSL), in cooperation with the Qatar Football Association (QFA), organized a workshop and financial oversight platform session for first and second division clubs as part of preparations for the 2026-27 football season. The initiative is designed to ensure that clubs are well-informed and compliant with the latest financial regulations as they gear up for the new season.

According to Qatar News Agency, the workshop aimed to brief clubs on the latest developments related to financial oversight regulations and requirements, as well as circulars issued for the new season. Participants engaged in discussions about updates to the Financial Control Platform, procedures for preparing financial plans, and the roles of the Financial Control Committee and Central Scouting Committee.

Further discussions at the workshop focused on governance and management, player and coach intermediaries, operational expense settlement procedures, and penalties for violations of financial oversight regulations. These topics are critical as they directly impact the operational and strategic planning of the clubs.

The event also included a practical demonstration of the platform's use, which explained workflow procedures between clubs and the Financial Control Committee and Unit. This segment of the workshop was particularly interactive, addressing questions and observations raised by club representatives to ensure clarity and understanding of the financial oversight process.
