Trump Announces US-Iran Agreement Signing Next Week

Washington: US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that an agreement between the United States and Iran is expected to be signed in Europe early next week, with Vice President J.D. Vance attending the ceremony.

According to Qatar News Agency, Trump stated that the Strait of Hormuz would reopen upon the signing of the agreement. However, he emphasized that the naval blockade would remain in effect until the deal is officially finalized.

The president mentioned that he had called off planned military strikes against Iran, as the final points of the agreement were approved. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump noted that discussions had reached the highest levels of the Iranian leadership and received approval from all parties involved.
