Turkish President, Italian PM Discuss Israeli Attacks in Region

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed Israeli attacks in the region and bilateral relations in a phone call Tuesday with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

A statement by the Turkish presidency’s communications department said that Erdogan and Meloni discussed Israeli attacks in the region, bilateral relations between the two countries, and regional and international issues during the call.

The Turkish President said during the call that Israel ignored all warnings and expanded the circle of fire in the Middle East, stressing the need for the international community to work together to stop the Israeli aggression.

He added that the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian territories, including Gaza, as well as Lebanon and UN missions, are “unacceptable.”
