Doha: Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat announced that trade between Turkiye and Syria reached approximately $3.75 billion last year, marking an increase of more than 40%. He stated that both countries are working to raise bilateral trade to $10 billion.

According to Qatar News Agency, Bolat made these remarks during a meeting on free trade and industrial zones in Syria and the investment climate. The meeting, held in Ankara, brought together Turkish and Syrian officials to discuss ways to enhance economic cooperation.

Bolat emphasized the commitment of both countries to increase production and investment. He highlighted plans to enhance, expand, and modernize land border crossings and maritime transport links. These efforts aim to facilitate the growth of bilateral trade, contributing to the economic development of both nations.
