The Israeli army reported on Saturday that two rockets fired from the northern Gaza Strip fell in an open area near the city of Ashkelon, without causing any injuries or damage.

An army statement indicated that sirens sounded in the city and surrounding areas, but the Iron Dome system was not activated due to the absence of a threat to populated areas, according to the statement.
