Doha: Ukraine targeted the Tyumen oil refinery in Russia's Ural region, located about 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, as part of its ongoing attacks on energy infrastructure within Russian territory. Governor of the Tyumen Region Alexander Moor reported that emergency teams responded to the site after debris was found nearby.
According to Qatar News Agency, preliminary information indicated that the refinery facility had not sustained damage, and workers were evacuated as a precautionary measure. The Tyumen refinery is one of Russia's largest privately owned oil refineries, with a processing capacity of about 151,000 barrels of crude oil per day. It plays a crucial role as a key supplier of fuel to the domestic market.
