US stocks ended higher at the end of the trading session on Wednesday.

The S and P 500 added 56.93 points, or 1.02 percent, to 5,633.91.

The Nasdaq Composite Index increased by 218.16 points, or 1.18 percent, to 18,647.45.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 429.39 points, or 1.09 percent, to 39,721.36.
