Spain: Instant messaging application WhatsApp, owned by Meta, announced a complete redesign of the (About) section for smartphone users, as part of the latest beta version of the application with version No. 2.26.24.1 for Android. According to Qatar News Agency,, a website that specializes in tracking WhatsApp updates, this update aims to improve the user experience and make it more organized, by collecting all options related to the profile and text status in one central screen, instead of the previous multiple interfaces. The update also allows previewing the text status accurately before publishing it, to see how it will appear to others before adopting it. The app also integrates privacy controls within the menu itself, allowing the user to easily select who can see their status and bio without having to go to general account settings. The update also provides faster access to ready-made statuses and default phrases, while making it easier to write custom texts supported by emojis. WhatsApp indicated that the feature is currently available to a limited number of users of the trial version, and that it will be gradually rolled out to all users over the coming weeks after completing tests and ensuring its stability.
