The head of the Taqaddam Party, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, discussed today, Monday, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Baghdad, David Berger, bilateral relations between the two countries and resolving the issue of the presidency of Parliament. Al-Halbousi office stated in a statement, 'Al-Halbousi discussed with Berger the bilateral relations between the two countries, the prospects for cooperation in all fields, the positive results of the Prime Minister's visit to the United States, and the activation of the strategic partnership.' The two sides also discussed resolving the issue of choosing a new speaker for the House of Representatives, in accordance with electoral eligibility and political agreements, and in a way that contributes to achieving political stability.
