Doha: The Eritrean community in Qatar convened for its 10th congress in Doha, focusing on the theme "Together for a Bright Future." The event took place on 31 July and saw active participation from several nationals. Mr. Ali Ibrahim, the Eritrean Ambassador to Qatar, praised the community for its involvement and contributions to national development programs, urging them to enhance their organizational capacity and mutual support.

According to African Press Organization, the congress included extensive discussions on the activity report presented by the community. The participants adopted a series of recommendations and outlined future programs, culminating in the election of a new executive committee. Ambassador Ali Ibrahim acknowledged the active participation demonstrated at the meeting and urged participants to support the newly elected leadership in all its endeavors. He also encouraged the committee to foster greater national engagement among Eritreans in Qatar.
