Kuwait Bourse Suffers Decline Across All Indices

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday as the All Share Index lost 23.35 points to reach 8,687.40 points, a decrease of 0.27 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, 342.2 million shares valued at KWD 80.3 million (roughly USD 246.5 million) were traded via 22,458 transactions. The Main Market Index declined by 48.24 points to reach 8,742.92 points, a drop of 0.55 percent. This was achieved through 205.7 million shares transacted via 11,161 transactions valued at KWD 25.15 million (roughly USD 76.9 million).

The Premier Market Index experienced a loss of 19.27 points, ending at 9,126.44 points, which represents a decrease of 0.21 percent. Trading included 135.5 million shares conducted via 11,297 transactions and valued at KWD 55.17 million (roughly USD 169.3 million).

Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index fell by 7.54 points to reach 9,674.84 points, down by 0.08 percent. The trading volume was 180.3 million shares completed in 8,626 deals at a value of KWD 20.8 million (roughly USD 63.8 million).
