Wonsan:Seoul North Korea fired approximately 10 short-range ballistic missiles toward the East Sea on Thursday, as confirmed by the South Korean military.

According to Qatar News Agency, the missiles were launched from the Wonsan area, and the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) are currently analyzing their flight distances and other specifications.

The JCS has increased surveillance and remains on alert for any further potential launches. It is maintaining a strong defense posture through close information-sharing with the United States and Japan regarding the latest missile launch. This incident follows more than two weeks after North Korea's test-firing on October 12 of what it claimed were tactical ballistic missiles aimed at enhancing a key weapons component.
