Baku:Palestinian Center for Child Rights has raised concerns about the severe conditions faced by children detained in Israeli occupation prisons, citing issues such as torture, starvation, and lack of medical care. Human rights organizations are reportedly barred from accessing these facilities.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Executive Director of the Palestinian Center for Child Rights, Khaled Quzmar, stated that Israeli forces have detained over 2,000 children since the onset of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, with at least 350 still in custody under dire conditions.
Quzmar also pointed out an increase in attacks by Israeli forces and settlers on Palestinian children, especially during the olive harvest season, when farmers often face threats and violence while being prevented from accessing their land.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported last month that more than 9,350 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli prisons, including 350 children and 90 women.
