Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelatty. The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and addressing regional developments.
According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation included diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to reduce escalation and improve security and stability in the region. Emphasizing dialogue and diplomacy, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs underscored the importance of adhering to agreements within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, maintaining security, preserving regional gains, and promoting stability.
His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar's full support for efforts to defuse tensions and achieve a comprehensive agreement for sustainable peace in the region.
