Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a phone call with HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud. During the call, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to support them, focusing on the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency emphasized the necessity for all parties to adhere to dialogue and diplomacy. He stressed the importance of implementing the agreements outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to maintain regional security, preserve achievements, and enhance regional stability.

His Excellency reiterated Qatar's full support for efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region.
