Seoul: The South Korean Air Force on Friday initiated a significant aerial combat exercise designed to enhance its operational capability and assess its combat readiness in response to potential threats.

According to Qatar News Agency, the annual Soaring Eagle exercise is scheduled to run for a week, concluding next Friday. This exercise involves various air assets, including F-35A stealth fighters, E-737 early warning and control aircraft, and KC-330 tanker transport aircraft.

More than 210 personnel are participating in the exercise, which has been a key component of South Korea's defense strategy since its inception in 2008. Soaring Eagle is recognized as the largest standalone exercise conducted by the South Korean Air Force, underscoring its importance in maintaining national security and preparedness.
