According to Qatar News Agency, a Lebanese military source reported that the army needed to withdraw from its post in the town, which is located about four kilometers from the city of Nabatieh, to ensure the safety of its servicemen. The source highlighted that Lebanese Army positions and vehicles in southern Lebanon have been targeted by Israeli attacks, resulting in casualties.

The Lebanese Army maintains a presence throughout the Nabatieh Governorate, though the source did not specify the number of troops deployed. The army has decided to withdraw from all positions in villages and towns under Israeli occupation in southern Lebanon.
