Ukrainian President Plans Talks with Partners to Discuss New Sanctions Against Russia, More Support For Kyiv

Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his intention to hold intensive talks with partner countries in the coming weeks on the sidelines of a series of high-level international summits.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions will focus on imposing new sanctions against Russia, increased support for Ukraine, and in particular air defense and long-range weapons. Zelensky emphasized the importance of these discussions in bolstering Ukraine's defense capabilities amid ongoing conflicts.

Zelensky added that Kyiv is also seeking progress on agreements aimed at securing investments in Ukrainian drone production in exchange for the delivery of ready-made drones. This initiative is seen as a crucial step in enhancing Ukraine's technological and military capabilities.

He pointed to a number of upcoming international meetings, including the G7 Summit, followed by the European Union Summit in Brussels, as well as the NATO Summit scheduled for next July. These gatherings are expected to provide a platform for Ukraine to strengthen its alliances and secure further commitments from partner countries.

Ukraine continues to resist Russian military operations with the support of its Western allies, while seeking to maintain economic pressure on Moscow. The ongoing international collaboration aims to ensure a robust response to the challenges faced by the country.
